is a writer and photographer based in Harlem, NY.  A graduate of Amherst College, he received his MFA from City College where he has also served as Editor-in-Chief of PROMETHEAN the CCNY (CUNY) arts/literary journal. Currently, Jehriko Turner is a Lecturer in English at City College.

Jehriko is a writer of poetry, stage plays, and is a budding novelist.  He has also studied various forms of dance—including ballet, hip-hop, and latin—which adds to his strong comprehension of stage movement and coordination of complex action in prose.  He has had four plays produced in New York City at various venues including: The NuYorican Poet’s Café, PSNBC, Performance Space 122, and twice selected for the International Fringe Drama Festival.  His work is socially conscious, addressing youth issues through the use of science fiction, fantasy, and adaptation.

Jehriko has also worked as a photographer in NYC for 7 years, primarily in freelance fashion.  His client list includes various local designers, actors, models, and entertainers.  Jehriko takes the alternative approach to portfolio building and his shots are typically unorthodox.  For the artist looking for something a little different at incredibly reasonable rates, Jehriko Turner is the best option in NYC.
